Tillamook State Forest is a beautiful place, the trails will take you through different scenery. It’s vast and the scent of pine follows you everywhere you go. We took University Falls and Wilson River trail which is a 10 mile hike loop. There are some complaints I have, you will cross roads with motor vehicle traffic, and the sound of those motor vehicles & of guns firing nearby at a gun range are so incredibly loud – no matter how far you walk out. The only other complaint is that there are no mile marker signs on the trail, so if you do not have a compass & gps – it can be difficult pinpointing exactly how far you’ve walked and more importantly how far you have left to walk. Still, you can’t deny the beautiful scenery in this gorgeous place.
